Our Foot ID app replaces the use of large and cumbersome scanning equipment as well as traditional methods of plaster or foam impressions, giving you perfect results every time. Scan in your preferred loading method.
The most accurate technology for scanning and ordering got an upgrade! Order faster, more accurate, and save the trees in the process.
What's new:
Watch video
Start by scanning the bottom of the foot
Hold iPhone 12-18" away from the foot
Capture the medial arch and side of the foot
Scan the posterior aspect of foot for proper capture
Foot ID uses your iPhone's system of sensors, cameras, and a dot projector to create a detailed 3D scan of your patient's foot & ankle and order custom orthoses with incredible accuracy and speed.
The TrueDepth camera system will detect your patient's foot and lower extremity with a flood illuminator. An infrared camera will then take an image, and a dot projector will project out over 30,000 invisible infrared dots. This system uses the infrared image and the infrared dots, and pushes them through neural networks to create a mathematical model of your patient's foot and lower extremity.
TrueDepth Face ID allows biometric authentication for unlocking a device, making payments, and accessing sensitive data, as well as providing detailed facial expressions tracking and other features. Foot ID is very accurate!
Comfort while scanning your patient is important to hold steady and achieve an optimal scan. For Foot ID, any iPhone with a true depth sensor is compatible. You should choose an iPhone that fits your hand best to hold steady and be comfortable.

The most apparent benefit is cost. The plaster cast method can cost between $27.94 - $49.60 while 3D scanning with Foot ID is free of charge.
The second benefit of 3D scanning is time. Plaster casting takes approximately 10 minutes while a 3D scan can take less than two minutes.
